Villa À la Croisée des Chemins
Tropical charm and modernity meet at La Croisée des Chemins.
Elegant Tropical Architecture
« The villa’s architecture is a subtle fusion of tradition and modernity. Its four-pitched roofs, clad in shingles, seem to merge seamlessly with the landscape, perfectly harmonizing with the natural environment. The light wood cladding and dry-stone walls interact with the surrounding vegetation. »
Designed in 2007 by Mauritian architect Éric Chavoix, the villa’s modern tropical style is characterized by clean lines and raw materials that define his work.
In 2023, I took over this project with the intention of preserving this vision while integrating current finishes and personal touches.

An east-west axis runs through the villa, naturally orienting the perspective towards the ocean. This open and covered “interior street” serves both indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing for natural ventilation and a constant interplay with daylight and sunsets.
A Home Designed as a Garden
« Crossing the threshold of the villa, one discovers a bright, sun-filled space where nature is never far. The house is resolutely oriented towards the ocean, revealing majestic views of the infinite blue that inspires dreams »
The villa extends over a 3,200 m² plot, including 1,800 m² of tropical gardens. Three courtyards punctuate the interior spaces, providing a continuous flow between the house and nature. Pools, verandas, and an infinity-edge mirror pool extend the central axis towards the lagoon, reinforcing this intimate connection between architecture and landscape.
« The garden, the beating heart of the house, stretches over 3,000 m² and is divided into three courtyards, offering a breath of fresh air at every moment of the day. Water features, secret gardens, and welcoming verandas create a serene and calming atmosphere. »
Elegant Tropical Architecture
« The villa’s interior enchants with its refined simplicity and minimalist decor. Dry-stone walls add a rustic touch, perfectly integrated into the modern aesthetic. Noble materials, chosen for their beauty and suitability to the tropical climate, enhance each space. »
Exceptional furnishings—Italian furniture, raw wood, natural stone, and refined textiles—have been carefully selected to create an elegant, understated, and timeless atmosphere.
